Yukon Blonde
Yukon Blonde premiere new track “I Wanna Be Your Man”
Perennial pop and indie-rock wizards Yukon Blonde reveal their new track “I Wanna Be Your Man” today on Consequence of Sound HERE. The track comes in anticipation of the band’s third LP, On Blonde, set for release on June 16. In celebration of the new album, Yukon Blonde is set for a U.S. summer tour kicking off in July. (Dates below)
“The band’s previous releases recalled Fleet Foxes and other pastoral-minded ’70s rock, however, its latest offering has more in common with the likes of psychedelic contemporaries Tame Impala.” – Consequence of Sound
On Blonde builds on Yukon Blonde’s reputation for seamlessly crafted pop songs with infectious melodies and hooks, while experimenting with psychedelic, digital, and synthetic sounds. It is an album gazing wistfully away towards the more shadowy elements of pop production, soft synthesizers, thin punching bass lines, crushed drums, 80s cosmic pop compositions and saturated psychedelic guitar effects.
Produced by Colin Stewart (Black Mountain, Dan Mangan, Sleepy Sun) and mixed by Tony Hoffer (M83, Beck, Foster the People, Air, Depeche Mode) the album is distinct in its shimmering pop production and Yukon Blonde’s trademark hard-hitting choruses.
Revered for their energetic live performances, Yukon Blonde is set on a U.S. tour with Chappo this summer, more information below!
