Trail of Dead announces tour, teases video
..And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead have just completed work on their second video from the recent IX album. “Lie Without a Liar,” directed by Hugo Zesati, will premiere worldwide on March 11. A sneak-peek of the video can be seen here.
In other Trail of Dead news, the band has confirmed tours in both Europe and North America. The North American tour includes a stop at Lee’s Palace in Toronto on April 29. Says guitarist/drummer Jamie Miller of the upcoming dates: “I’m personally excited for this round of US tour dates as we are playing in some cities I have yet to visit since joining Trail Of Dead. I’m looking at you New Orleans! I’m especially looking forward to launching the new single and video for ‘Lie Without a Liar’ as it is the first song I’ve wrote and sung as a member of the band, and my brothers felt strong enough about it to release it as a single. Playing it at all the great European festivals we were invited to is a personal milestone! It’s gonna be a fun summa’!” See below for full North American tour routing.
The Austin, TX natives released their highly anticipated 9th studio LP in Canada on Dine Alone Records late last year. Outburn Magazine noted that IX was “a collection of distinctive tunes that sounds like no one else,” calling “Lie Without a Liar” a “sweeping swan dive of infectious indie melody and ’70s power pop that Kurt Cobain would be ripping off were he alive.” Big Cheese Magazine called IX “their most interesting work since [2002’s] Source Tags & Codes.”
