Mill Street and Dine Alone present Hopped and Confused festival in Ottawa

Mill Street, in association with Indie Powerhouse Dine Alone Records, presents the first edition of Hopped and Confused, a two-night event of delicious beer, killer music and gourmet food. Set to take place in our nation’s capital at Mill Street’s brewpub (555 Wellington St) on August 12 & 13, Hopped and Confused will feature headlining performances by Canadian Rockers The Sheepdogs (August 12) and Monster Truck (August 13), joined by Wintersleep (August 12) and The Glorious Sons (August 13). Alongside great music, Hopped and Confused will showcase over 15 Mill Street beers on tap, unique casks and an exclusive Hopped and Confused White IPA, as well as a glorious summer picnic inspired by the San Antonio culinary scene.

MILLST-HOPPEDANDCONFUSED

Brewed at Mill Street’s Ottawa brewpub exclusively for the inaugural music and beer festival, Mill Street Brewmaster Joel Manning has a couple words about their Hopped and Confused White IPA: “White IPA is a style that I first tried on the west coast while vacationing with my family and fell in love with it.  The combination of the bright, citrusy west coast hop varieties combined with the floral flavours of European hops give it a very cosmopolitan flavour–ours is made with 5 hop varieties from 4 countries. This beer is made with pale malted barley and pale wheat malt so it lives up to its “white” IPA label and it is made with our Belgian Witbier yeast strain and it is left unfiltered to really showcase the pear and tree fruit esters that come from this yeast. It is a very pretty beer that punches above its weight–it is easy to forget that this is a real IPA at 7% abv.
