Hannah Georgas shares new song “Rideback”

Hannah Georgas’ new song “Rideback” premiered yesterday at Nerdist and can now be streamed/shared via SoundCloud and purchased at iTunes. Of the track, the site praises, “‘Rideback’ opens in gorgeous fanfare. Myriad horns wax and wane in shifting harmonies before Georgas’ questioning vocal cuts through.

Rideback” is the lead track from Georgas’ anticipated new full-length album For Evelyn, which is now available to pre-order. Each digital pre-order comes with instant download of “Rideback” as well as the album’s first single, “Don’t Go,” of which The Wild Honey Pie praises, “…strikes a perfect balance between lush production and dynamic quiet. The track slowly builds in intensity, as striking percussive hits and her vibrant vocals lead towards the powerful chorus.

Named after Hannah’s “compassionate, patient, kind and beautiful” 98-year-old grandmother, For Evelyn was produced by Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck), mixed by Nicolas Vernhes (The War on Drugs, Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, etc) and features collaborations with Ryan Guldemond (Mother Mother) and Andy Shauf.

In celebration of the release, Georgas will embark on a North American tour beginning June 17 at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre with City and Colour followed by a series of dates with Boy & Bear. See below for complete details.
