DINE ALONE NYE VANCOUVER TAKE OVER

Excited to announce that we’re bringing The Sheepdogs and The New Pornographers to headline the second annual New Years Eve community celebration in Vancouver! The event will also present live performances from Wintersleep, Yukon Blonde, Humans, Spencer Burton and more.

The Sheepdogs will headline at the free outdoor community celebration, while The New Pornographers will take centre stage at ‘TRUE NORTH‘, a ticketed indoor party in the magnificent VCC West Ballrooms. TRUE NORTH will also feature live performances by Yukon Blonde, Megan Patrick, Humans and Delhi 2 Dublin. All TRUE NORTH ticketholders will enjoy premium viewing of the midnight fireworks, with the option of watching the show from the indoors or outdoor on the Pacific Terrace overlooking Jack Poole Plaza

This year’s family-friendly event will feature multiple stages, a new countdown clock tower and early fireworks for families at 9:00 p.m. followed by a midnight countdown with a spectacular fireworks finale. The free community celebration will run from 6:30 p.m. to 12:10 a.m. on December 31, 2016 along Canada Place Way between Howe and Thurlow Streets.

Concord’s 2016 New Year’s Eve Vancouver celebration is supported by federal funding from the Department of Canadian Heritage.  Other sponsors and partners include The City of Vancouver, The Peak/JRFM, RE/MAX, United Way, Dine Alone Records, Haven Sounds, Tymac, WestPark, Phillips Brewing, Tourism Vancouver, Global BC, Metro News and the DailyHive.

A ticketed RE/MAX Family Zone will be located inside Canada Place and along the outdoor West Promenade. The zone will feature family-focused entertainment including colouring books and crayons provided by Dine Alone, face painting, crafts and arcade games and a reserved outdoor viewing area for fireworks.

A second premium-viewing zone will be located along the seawall on the North promenade of the Vancouver Convention Centre; that guarantees a prime view of the fireworks over Coal Harbour as well as in-and-out privileges to enjoy the entertainment on the main and outdoor music stages before the midnight fireworks.
