Spencer Burton

“Death of Gold” video premiere

Spencer Burton (formerly of Attack in Black and previously recording under the name Grey Kingdom) premieres his new video for Death of Gold via CMT Edge today. Featuring a cameo with the amazing Eric’s Trip original, acclaimed solo artist and JUNO Award winning, Julie Dorion, who Spencer borrows money from to help fuel a jaunty, excess-filled day in the big city. The Colin Medley (Alvvays, Bry Webb, PS I Love You) directed video captures the essence of Spencer’s wry and dry sense of humour that his deeply heartfelt, at times heart-wrenching songs rarely reveal.

Death of Gold is found on Spencer’s September 2014 released album Don’t Let The World See Your Love (Dine Alone Records). Produced with long-time friend and musical collaborator, Daniel Romano, Spencer has taken his strong live show blended with his unique story-telling style to a diverse audience across Canada, recently highlighted by a series of dates with Justin Rutledge and knock-out headline gig to a packed room at the Rivoli in Toronto (a Massey Hall presents show), a two night run at the National Arts Centre (with Jenn Grant) in Ottawa and a series of shows in support of David Suzuki’s Blue Dot initiative. Spencer is confirmed for a seven-city run of gigs in Canada this March of 2015 including some Western date stops alongside The White Buffalo and further solo dates will soon be added as well.
