DEAR-GOD is the musical project of 19-year-old Robert Ortiz from Brampton, Canada.

An experimental hip hop and hardcore artist, DEAR-GOD self-released his first single and video “The Burbs” in the summer of 2019, followed by second single “Bitter Winter” in November. The releases launched the project after Robert’s release of two EPs under former moniker Crack Baby, including 2018 EP “Footsteps On The Ceiling.”

Drawing comparisons that range from Beastie Boys and Rage Against the Machine to Show Me The Body and King Krule, his singular style has already been celebrated by FADER, Revolver Mag, Clash Mag, Beats1 and more. It has also helped him assemble a top team including People’s Champ Management (BADBADNOTGOOD, Mk.Gee) and booking agents at top international agencies Paradigm and AGI.

On the strength of his first DIY releases, DEAR-GOD signed with LA-based Terrible Records (Solange, Blood Orange) and partnered with Dine Alone Records to power his own imprint, End Time, in Canada. Expect lots of new music from DEAR-GOD in 2020 including two singles co-produced and mixed by Lars Stalfors (Lil Peep, St. Vincent).
